Hi! My name is Sheila and welcome to my page. On April 18, 2011, I turn 29. Yup, 29 years old. That's one year before I turn 30. What will also make this day special is that I plan on starting my own Project 365. Everyday for one year, I will be taking photos to document this time of my life.
Day 247: Manitoba Legislative Building
Since the weather has been relatively mild, I decided to take advantage of it and capture some more night photos. Is it just me, or does Winnipeg have a lot of orange-y, yellowish street lights?

Day 246: Contrast

Day 225: Abstract bridge
Today, my intention was to use this as my photo of the day. However, whilst trying to perfectly focus my shot, this image came into the frame.

Day 221: Pretty, pretty lights
Winnipeg’s Central Park has a new light installation. It’s fun! Click here for another photo I took that day.

Day 220: Shh!
My third day at the library. Just in case you’re wondering, I am not in school. I have a part-time job with the University of Manitoba as a teaching assistant for the Faculty of Nursing.

Day 212: The Witch’s Hut
When I was a little girl, I went on a class trip to Kildonan Park. On that same day, we visited the Witch’s Hut, where the infamous tale of Hansel and Greta is illustrated. Inside that house lived a HUGE (fake) spider and its web, which scared the living daylight out of me. Mind you, I was only 4 or 5 years old.

Day 206: The Cube
In the Exchange District, there is an odd piece of architecture. Some find it revolting, whilst some welcome the creation.

Day 204: First snow
It snowed last night, which is fine. I mean, what’s “Winterpeg” without snow?

Day 202: Airport parkade
My Dad, Mom, Eugene, Vanessa, and I went to visit the new airport this afternoon. It looks incredible, but there isn’t much in it yet. At present, there is a small magazine/souvenir shop and Tim Horton’s for non-passengers to check out. At some point, a Stella’s and a MLCC will open.
